Streekmuseum de Meesstoof

Always wanted to know how people used to live and where they worked? How did people used to actually dress in Tholian costumes? What did a school class look like in 1910? And how did children learn in those days? Streekmuseum De Meestoof provides a great overview of past life and culture on the islands of Tholen and Sint Philipsland.

The museum, located in the former town hall of Sint-Annaland, has a seasonally changing thematic exhibition as well as an extensive permanent collection of historical items from the islands of Tholen and Sint Philipsland. The collection is composed of collectors' items and bequests. The permanent collection is housed in the main building and adjacent barns. The Norwegian gift house on our grounds is a museum piece in itself and can also be visited.
